About Jeff · About Impact Marketing KY

Honest marketing, run from a kitchen table in Winchester.

I’m Jeff Becraft. By day I help run a propane company across three plants and a satellite location. In the evenings and on weekends, I build websites and run marketing for the locally-owned shops, trades, and restaurants of Central Kentucky — the kind of folks I’ve worked alongside my whole life.

My story

I didn’t come to marketing from an ad agency. I came to it because my employer needed it.

By day I’m the assistant manager at Clark Propane Plus. I help oversee three plants plus a satellite location — ordering, dispatch, on-call weekends, the whole picture of what it actually takes to keep a multi-location small business running in this part of the world.

A few years back, the company needed help with its marketing. We got a couple of quotes from real agencies up in Lexington. Every one of them came back at twice what the work was worth, padded with words nobody on my team understood. So I figured it out myself. Website. Google Business Profile. Ads. Print. The same way you’d have to if it landed on your desk.

Once I learned it, I couldn’t un-see how much other locally-owned shops were getting taken advantage of by big agencies who didn’t know them and didn’t live here. So I started Impact Marketing KY — nights and weekends, for now — to do the same caliber of work for one fair price, in plain English, for the folks I already know.

I’m up-front about where I am today. This is a side business growing into a full-time one. That means you get the owner’s full attention and honest pricing while we build something together. Eventually I’ll hire one or two people I trust. Until then, every conversation, every line of code, every invoice — that’s me.

Main Street · Winchester, KY
I live and work here

I’m not pitching you from a stock-photo skyline in another state.

This is downtown Winchester. The gold dome on the courthouse is six minutes from my house. If you hire me, your meetings happen on a real Main Street — or your front desk, or your shop floor, or your dispatch office. Whichever’s easier for you.

Being from here isn’t a tagline. It’s what makes the work better.

I know what slow seasons look like for a propane company in July. I know why a barbecue place in Mt. Sterling cares about Friday-night search results in a way Lexington firms don’t. When I write the copy on your website, it sounds like somebody who’d actually walk in and order — because that somebody is probably me.

Who I work with

Locally-owned operators across three kinds of businesses.

If you’re running one of these, you’re the kind of business I built this for.

01   Restaurants & retail

Restaurants, cafes & shops on Main Street

The places people pass every day but don’t always think of when they pull out their phone to search. I get you on the map — literally — and make sure the website matches the experience inside.

  • Mobile-first ordering & menu sites
  • Google Maps + review management
  • Seasonal social posting that sounds like your town
02   The trades

HVAC, plumbing, propane, electric, landscaping

Phones-ringing businesses. I’ve worked inside one for years — so I know the difference between marketing that looks pretty and marketing that fills tomorrow’s schedule.

  • Service-area pages that actually rank locally
  • Google Ads for high-intent emergency searches
  • Vehicle wraps, yard signs & door hangers
03   Small business, full stop

Operators with 1–25 employees

Anybody running a real, locally-owned operation who’s tired of being treated like a number by an account manager three states away. Doesn’t matter what you sell — if you’d shake my hand at a chamber meeting, we’ll get along.

  • Honest audit of what you have today
  • One-time project work or month-to-month help
  • No retainer minimums hiding the actual hours
Why my approach is different

Three things you’ll feel in the first week of working with me.

Local authority, not a stock-photo agency.

I’ve lived in Central Kentucky my whole life. I’m at the same chamber meetings, the same diners, the same intersections you are. That shows up in your copy, your photos, and the way I represent your business when I’m not in the room.

Growth partnerships, not handcuff contracts.

I offer one-time project work for a new website or branding, plus 6 and 12-month Growth Partnerships for businesses that want a dedicated marketing lead they actually know. You pick what fits today — we can always move to a longer arrangement when the numbers say it’s time.

Results-driven, in the only way that counts.

I don’t care about vanity metrics. I care about ringing phones and customers walking through your front door. If something I’m doing isn’t producing that, I’ll be the first one to tell you to stop spending on it.

Where I work

Eight Central Kentucky towns. All within a short drive of one another — and of me.

Headquartered in Winchester. If you’re in the Bluegrass and run a small business, you’re in my service area.

Same offer to everyone. I’ll look at what you have, give you three to five things I’d fix first, and answer whether you even need to hire someone. If the answer’s no, I’ll say so.
